The Alcalá de Henares City Council presented this Thursday the third edition of the Ciudad de Alcalá Women’s Soccer Trophy by MadCup, which on August 6 (8:00 p.m.) will face Club Atlético de Madrid against AS Roma at the Wanda Alcalá Sports Center of Henares.
The current champions of the Spanish Queen’s Cup will receive the last conquerors of the Italian Serie A, in a match that will be televised by Telemadrid and that will be reminiscent of the match for the same tournament, played two years ago, in which the rojiblancas they imposed 2-0 on the whole of the Italian capital.
During the presentation, held in the Plenary Hall of the Complutense City Council, the mayoress of Alcalá, Judith Piquet; the director of Atlético de Madrid Femenino, Lola Romero, and the rojiblanco first team player Gabriela García, among others.
In his speech, Piquet encouraged everyone to enjoy this duel between “two great teams” and praised the work that Atlético de Madrid is doing to promote women’s football, with “great references” for the little ones who are starting to play .
