Atleti welcomes its strength in the Wanda Metropolitano

There is nothing like being at home. Atlético has always relied on its strength at home and not even the pandemic has dented the solidity it has in the Metropolitan Wanda. And now, after playing four of the last five away games, it is time to return to their stadium. A fief where the only win in the last five games has been achieved, against him Alavés 1-0, and where despite getting to chain three consecutive punctures between February and March, it remains the best local team in LaLiga.

Total, Atlético has played 15 games in the Wanda Metropolitano, with a balance of eleven wins, three draws and a single loss against Levante in a game in which the coronavirus continued to wreak havoc among the mattress squad. The rojiblanc teamor add 36 points out of 45 possible at home and 30 goals for the nine against. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, the three pursuers, have scored 34 points in their respective stadiums.

Atlético matches at home in the League

Alaves 1-0
Athletic 2-1
Real Madrid 1-1
I raised 0-2
Celtic 2-2
Valencia 3-1
Seville 2-0
Getafe 1-0
Elche 3-1
Valladolid 2-0
Barcelona 1-0
Cadiz 4-0
Betis 2-0
Villarreal 0-0
grenade 6-1

Now, in a moment of weakness, Atlético need to recover sensations and there is no better option than to do so by playing in their stadium. It receives consecutively Eibar and Huesca, two teams from the bottom of the table, before carrying out three outings in a row (Athletic, Elche and Barcelona), so adding six points seems essential in the fight for the title. Of course, nobody takes any trust.

Despite the fact that Eibar visits the Metropolitan as a bottom, in the first leg they had to overcome Dmitrovic's goal with a double from Luis Suárez, the last one in the 89th minute from a Panenka-style penalty. Against Huesca, which is going through a good moment of form and has come out of the descent, the first puncture of the season occurred (0-0), so Atlético knows that they have to be fully focused if they want to assert their strength at home. On matchday 36 and 37, LaLiga will return to the Metropolitano to receive Real Sociedad and Osasuna before closing the championship in Valladolid.
