Mikel Vesga, who today is Marcelino's starting eleven in his debut as Athletic coach, has agreed to his renewal for the rojiblanco club. Everything indicates that the Ibaigane entity will make its agreement with the Gasteiztarra midfielder official in the next few hours. Agreement that could be for three seasons.
“We are very happy with Vesga, but until it is made official we will be in the fight. We want him to continue with us ”, Alkorta, Athletic's sports director, acknowledged on Movistar's microphones.
The rojiblanco player changed his representation agency a few weeks ago. As the ‘As’ advanced this morning, the agreement between Vesga and Athletic was practically closed. Hours later, “El Correo” took it for granted and placed it in the three years mentioned above.
Vesga, 27, came to Athletic in the 2014-2015 season from Alavés and since then has accumulated 68 games as a lion spread over four seasons, with transfers to Sporting and Leganés included.
