At Nesyri, the differential factor

Youssef En Nesyri signed an almost perfect week since he scored his two goals in the farewell to Sevilla's Champions. He kept those hopes alive against Dortmund until the last gasp before being decisive in the derby against Betis with a brilliant goal and opening the can in the win against Elche. His stellar appearances are no longer any coincidence: he has signed 21 goals so far this season and is one of the fashionable strikers in Europe after a start to the season that raised many doubts. But his numbers also reflect his ability to be a differential factor: he scored the first goal of a game up to eight times during this League. No other player managed to be so decisive with the first goals of the clashes.

The Moroccan flew over the defense of Elche to sign his last goal so far this season. He did it when his team felt less danger and to finish off a precise service from Suso. In the remainder of the game, he flew again twice but his headers did not find the same prize. Few doubts already exist that it is the great attacking trick of Julen Lopetegui with a view to securing a new place in the Champions League. At Nesyri he wants more now. He intends to follow in the wake of other brilliant battering rams that passed through Nervión such as Kanouté, Luis Fabiano, Bacca or Gameiro. And their figures warn that it is possible, while in parallel several European clubs are awaiting their qualitative growth in the face of the next transfer windows.

With eleven days ahead, he already has fifteen league goals despite not playing every possible minute. He was a substitute in four of the last six league games despite the fact that Luuk De Jong did not live up to expectations during his appearances as a striker. Lopetegui's rotations kept him from some crashes, but his confidence in the striker is intact after verifying that his scoring potential is a guarantee for his team. The Moroccan propels his team to the Champions League and silences the innumerable debates that were placed on the table after his irregular start to the campaign.
