Two years ago, in April 2020, Vidal already admitted his fascination with Boca and La Bombonera. “I have never played there until now and I have always wanted to know how it feels. It will be a dream to play there”, he confessed then, although he preferred to sign for Inter after finishing his contract with Barça.

At 35 years old, Vidal is at a crossroads since, in addition to Boca’s option, he is wanted by the Brazilian Flamengo, for whom he has also expressed his preference, and Qatar’s Al Rayyan, with a juicy offer. Nor can his return to Chile and Colo Colo, the club where he made his professional debut, be ruled out.
