Arteta’s plans at Arsenal

After two very difficult seasons in which Mikel Arteta (40 years old) laid the foundations for his sports project at Arsenal, the Spanish coach has begun to reap the first fruits. Qualification for the next Champions League is at your fingertips if you win the last four Premier League games.e, where his team has shone this season, and for this reason, the Emirates Stadium board has doubled the bet and has renewed Arteta until 2025.

Arsenal has taken flight thanks to a squad led by young talents like Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli. Three indisputable players for Arteta, who also counts on them for the future, as is the case with Emile Smith Rowe, another promising attacking midfielder who has had more difficulty settling in the eleven but whose potential is denied by no one.

This bet, however, does not apply to all areas of the field, and it is on the attacking front where the most changes will be seen for next season. TBoth Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah end their contracts this summer, and as evidenced by data provided by Artificial Intelligence (IA) of Olocip, the two forwards have penalized the team offensively.

In fact, according to the same data source, Lacazette should have 4.23 goals taking into account his completions. His bad campaign has resulted in a drop in his market value, which in one year has fallen from 30.6 million euros to 20.9 million, or what is the same, it has been devalued by 31.7%.

It’s no wonder new forwards have popped up on the Gunners’ radar, and one of them is Alexander Isak. The Swedish striker for Real Sociedad, followed by Arteta for months, would fit in very well at Arsenal, according to the AI, that predicts the frequency of goals and assists within 10 months in the Premier League and that estimates that if he played 100% of the minutes he would score around 17 goals -without taking set pieces into account-.

Renewal extends to defense

Arsenal’s renewal extends to the defensive line, where William Saliba is expected with open arms. The French center-back has shone this campaign in Marseille, and despite the fact that it has been difficult for him to find his place in London, he would be a tall addition to the Gunner defense, well guarded this campaign by Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes. A center-back, the latter, who accumulates suitors in Europe…
