Arsenal will be the first English team to play with the public again

Arsenal will be the first Premier League team to play with the public again since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March. On December 3 in the Europa League, the ‘gunners’ will be able to count on the support of their fans thanks to the new measures introduced by the British government this Thursday.

The executive instituted a system with three levels of restriction depending on the risk of contagion in the area where the match is to be played. London is currently in a second level of risk, something that gives permission for 2,000 fans to watch the Arsenal-Rapid Vienna match live.

“While we are aware that matches with reduced attendance are far from a return to normalcy, we look forward to welcoming our fans home in what will be a historic moment for the club,” Arsenal said in a statement.

After the 'gunners' and their game in the Europa League, the first Premier League game with an audience since the start of the pandemic will be West Ham-Manchester United on Saturday 5 December.
