Arsenal shields Gabriel Martinelli

Good news for him Mikel Arteta's Arsenal facing the future of the team. The Gunner team announced this Friday the renewal of one of the most promising players in the squad, the Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli. A long-term extension (do not specify) that occurs exactly one year after his arrival at the London club from Ituano from Brazil.

The 19-year-old U23 international is curdling a great season in his first year abroad with 10 goals in 26 games disputed, despite the ups and downs of Mikel Arteta's team.

“I am very happy that Gabi has signed a new contract with us. He is a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performance, attitude and work rhythm. We are eager to see its development in our club, ”said Arteta in a statement.

Martinelli's records have not gone unnoticed within the London club and therefore they have rushed to improve the conditions of the contract so that they can 'shield' their footballer in light of the summer market. In addition, this contractual extension occurs after the player suffered a knee injury a few days ago that will leave him several months off. Total confidence of Arsenal in the Brazilian.
