MADRID, 5 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Arsenal beat Crystal Palace (0-2) this Friday at the start of the 2022/23 season in the Premier League, a London derby that Mikel Arteta’s team scored with goals from Martinelli and Guehi’s own goal.
The ‘gunner’ team, again aspiring to wage war in the English league and recover lost territory, was the first protagonist of the Premier and did not fail at Selhurst Park, although it was not a triumphal walk and the sentence did not come until the 85th minute .
The dominance was the visitor from the beginning, a lot of possession and chances already in the first 10 minutes, until in minute 20 Martinelli headed it 0-1, a corner kick with little defensive intensity by Palace.
Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal’s star signing, was active at work but was unable to continue his scoring run in pre-season. The former City player gave Odegaard the goal in the second half, but the Norwegian was unable to define.
Crystal Palace did not lose face in the game and, although they were not very inspired up front, they had a couple of chances to tie the game. Arsenal sentenced Patrick Vieira’s men in a play by Saka and a center that ran into Guehi and went into the net.
