Arsenal continues to work for the next season. After agreeing to a new loan from Dani Ceballos, the English club announced on Tuesday the hiring of Gabriel Magalhaes (22 years old), Brazilian defender from Lille.
Mikel Arteta sees his defense reinforced with the young central defender from São Paulo, for whom they will pay around 30 million euros. Arsenal announced their hiring through a video in which Willian and David Luiz talked about the new signing “gunner” and finally got in touch with him.
Gabriel joined Lille in January 2017 and has been on loan to Troyes, first, and Dinamo Zagreb, later, before establishing himself as one of the French club's mainstays last season to finish the course in fourth place.
“We welcome Gabriel to Arsenal. He has many qualities that will make us stronger as a defensive unit and as a team. He has shown with Lille that he is a defender with many outstanding attributes and we are looking forward to seeing him grow as an Arsenal player ”, said Mikel Arteta when talking about Gabriel, who signs for the next five seasons in which he will wear number 6.
