Arribas, made in Alcorcón

Just days before La Liga began, in the middle of August and with the whole country on vacation, a 21-year-old had his first contract in professional football. It was Óscar Arribas fulfilling a dream and it seemed that he was breaking down the door. Fran Fernández was categorical “he has earned it”, many expected him to have a very minor role, however, he has become the undisputed starter. At only 21 years old, he has played 22 league games and has scored four goals. An offensive midfielder who can play winger or attacking midfielder. Worker, with self-confidence, speed, nose of goal and good one on one. Arribas has carved out a niche for himself in the Second Division and has shown that the AD Alcorcón youth academy has quality and gives good players for professional football. An example for his teammates of the subsidiary with whom he has also played 4 games this year.

Arribas debuted with the first team on March 4, 2017. He then played three minutes 0-0 against Sevilla Atl. In that campaign with the subsidiary he played 8 games and scored 1 goal. The following year with B he added 24 games and three goals and in his third season with the second team (2018/2019) he played 36 games and scored two goals. In 2018/2019 he reappeared with the first team. He played 14 minutes on June 8, 2-1 against Granada. This season has undoubtedly been the one of its explosion.

Another youth squad

Arribas has been the most powerful irruption in recent times for the pottery quarry.

Last season Relu was the most notable youth squad. The midfielder, now in the Borusia branch, played 4 games.

Previously, several plants should be highlighted. Chema Rodríguez arrived from Atlético Madrid B in 2013/14. With the yellow branch he only played two games. That year he already played 12 games with Alcorcón. The following two years he would get to play 56 games scoring five goals in the last campaign as a potter that was 2015/2016. Now he is in Getafe. Fernando was another youth player who joined the first team. The center joined the subsidiary in 2014/15, that year he played 21 games with the B and 8 with the first team. The following season he played 20 matches with the first team. Currently Fernando is active in Córdoba.

In the 2013/14 season two youth squads managed to reach the first team. Dani Ponce, now in Alcalá after going through teams like Fuenlabrada, played six matches with the first team. Tamayo, currently in the ranks of Rayo Majadahonda, has had four participations with the first team of AD Alcorcón.
