The Spanish footballer Arnau Puigmal, UD Almería midfielder, will play on loan until the end of this season at Elche CF, after the agreement reached this Wednesday by both clubs and the footballer, there being a clause by which the Elche entity could exercise a purchase option.
This was indicated by Almería on its website, regarding Puigmal who still has a contract until 2026 with the rojiblancos. “In his first campaign he contributed to promotion to the First Division, playing a total of 33 League games in which he scored five goals and gave four assists. He also played in a Copa del Rey match,” the press release stated.
“Last season, already in the highest category of Spanish football, he was featured in 23 matches, 22 in the regularity championship and one in the 'KO' tournament. In the current season he also played in the Copa del Rey and 12 LaLiga matches. EA Sports, in four of them being a starter,” said the Almeria club.
The same note noted that Puigmal “wanted to have a greater role and, after the offers he had, the club and the player agreed to transfer him; specifically to Elche, with whom he will fight to be promoted to the First Division,” the press text added.
“UD Almería wishes him all the luck, while recognizing his professionalism and commitment to the Almeria entity, with which he has been training until this past Tuesday, when he said goodbye to travel to Elche,” the note concluded.
