Arnáiz keeps Leganés up

The lack of success in the face of goal punished Rayo Vallecano against Leganés, who achieved a relevant 1-0 victory this Wednesday that allows him to maintain his good performance in his own field.

From the start, the game promised a show, due to the frantic pace and the goal that put the locals ahead in minute 4. He was born in a pass from Palencia on the edge of the area that Bustinza played as spur, a defender disguised on this occasion as the best Half Point. Arnáiz, without dropping the ball, put the rubric.

From that moment on the domain became the Rayo, which generated approaches but not clear occasions. Despite this, he almost received the second at the edge of the break, but a lateral foul by Pardo crashed into a post after Dimitrievski touched the ball.

The draw could also come, but Cuéllar avoided it with a brave exit at Pozo's feet, after Óscar Valentín had put him in trouble with a shot that went high.

The goalkeeper was once again important in the first clear opportunity after the restart, a forced shot from Martín to which he responded with a great hand down. Also the protagonist, but for other reasons, Dimitrievski became when he saw a red card for protesting the referee somewhat later.

The numerical inferiority, together with the lack of success, ended up extinguishing the Rayista anxieties against the Leganense team, which was annulled by a goal by Borja Bastón and who had a good chance from Shibasaki that Luca deflected well.

At that time, there seemed to be no room for suffering, but forces ended up balancing out when Rubén Pérez was also sent off for missing a clear chance of scoring.

Finally, that situation, and the rival's protests for a possible penalty, threatened to disturb the calm.
