April, another busy month for Granada: 7 games in 25 days

Granada will take advantage of the break to rest mentally and regain strength for an exciting final stretch of the season but at the same time very demanding. And it is that after these two weeks of rest there is a terrible calendar again for the rojiblancos, which between the League and the Europa League they will have to face seven games in 25 days.

That carousel of matches to be played between April 3 and 28 will put Diego Martínez's team back to the limit, which will have Machís ready after the break and quite possibly also Soro. For the next few weeks he also hopes to have Foulquier and Neva ready and will have to wait a little longer for Milla and Luis Suárez.

Granada will return to competition on day 3 against Villarreal in Los Cármenes (14:00) and will start a month of ordago. On Thursday 8 he will host Manchester United (21:00) in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Europa League. On Sunday 11 he will visit Valladolid in Zorrilla and on Thursday 15 they will be seen again with United at Old Trafford. The weekend of April 17 and 18 will be the only gap you will find in the calendar since the Cup final is played. The competition, yes, will return on Wednesday April 21 with the dispute of Granada – Eibar in Los Cármenes. The rojiblancos They will close their very tough month of April by visiting Seville (April 25) and Barcelona (April 28) consecutively.

“The team deserves a break,” said Diego Martínez in the Mestalla press room after the game against Valencia. Granada accumulates 46 official matches in their legs (one more than in the entire past year) and the wear and tear of the last few weeks has been terrifying. To this must be added the numerous injuries that the team has suffered and that there are very demanding players physically. For all this, the coach celebrated the arrival of the break and crossed his fingers so that none of his internationals (Duarte, Rui Silva, Nehuén and Eteki) suffer any mishap with his team. After these two ideal weeks to regain strength, the maximum demand will return.
