Appeal confirms the sanction of four matches of Álvaro Cervera

The never ending story. Cádiz announces that Álvaro Cervera will have to comply with the four-match sanction imposed by the Competition Committee after his statements after Cádiz – Granada, at least for the moment, because the club is going to appeal the sanction again.

This was reported by the club through a statement: “The RFEF Appeal Committee has announced tonight that it has agreed to” dismiss the appeal filed “for the sanction of four games on Álvaro Cervera, which was imposed weeks ago by the Competition Committee. In the next few hours, it is expected that an appeal will be filed before the Administrative Court of Sports, in order to demonstrate the “interpretation contrary to the presumption about the exercise of the fundamental right to freedom of expression”, which is understood to exist in said sanction ” .

Meanwhile, tomorrow Cádiz faces the game against Barcelona in Carranza, and everything indicates that Álvaro Cervera will not be able to accompany his team from the local bench. Everything will depend on that resource that the entity has pending to try to save the coach from the punishment imposed by Competition, considering that the coach's statements after Cádiz – Granada “question the honesty and impartiality of the members of the arbitration team.”

We recall again the origin of this sanction that has been going around since matchday 5. And it is that Cervera valued after the match against Granada in Carranza the arbitration decision of Alberola Rojas in Foulquier's action on Alberto Perea, a clamorous penalty, stating that ” there are only three people who have not seen the penalty “, adding that” he has no other explanation than not wanting to whistle it. ” The CADista technician thus becomes the first sanctioned for, according to the Competition, not complying with article 100 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code.
