MADRID, 11 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish cyclist Antonio Pedrero (Movistar Team) has won the third and last stage of the Tour de l’Ain after a solo escape on a demanding route, in a victory that also lifted him to the fifth final place in a race won by the French Guillaume Martin (Cofidis).

Pedrero reached the top of Lelex alone, in a 131-kilometre stage and after pedaling a good part of it without company, in a nice pulse with a peloton that could not catch him and with the favorites reaching more than a minute.

With this third professional victory in his career, the man from Terrassa helps a Movistar Team that continues to fight to stay in the top category of the UCI WorldTour. In addition, he gained 12 places and finished the race fifth, just 17 seconds behind the winner Martin.
