Obviously the duel is still very recent and that makes him emotional when remembering it. “My children are fine. They are very focused on their studies”he adds. What he cannot deny is the delicate moment that his mother-in-law Cari Lapique is going through. If he has lost the love of his life, so has Cari and on top of that his adored daughter. And that absence is not comparable. Each one carries out their internal process but Matos is trying above all things to ensure that Caritina’s dream continues to prosper because who knows if one day her children will be the ones to take this baton.

At the moment he is a man very attached to his faith, his family and friends, and he is very grateful for the enormous expressions of affection he has received in recent months. Obviously, Christmas is going to be very hard, but no more than all the days that have passed since Caritina died a few weeks after her father, Carlos Goyanes, died.
