The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport today recalled in an official statement the importance of respecting security measures recommended by health authorities to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2. Without saying it explicitly, Antiviolencia describes the events that occurred this weekend in Cádiz in the run-up to the match between the yellow team and Fuenlabrada.
The statement is as follows:
“With the imminent end of the sports season, the Anti-Violence Commission considers it appropriate to appeal to all the actors involved, and in particular to fans, to respect the security measures and recommendations established in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The images of fans celebrating the sporting achievements of their teams that have taken place in the last few hours make it essential to remind the whole public of the importance of complying with these standards. and, very especially, with regard to avoiding crowds like those that have occurred.
Therefore, from the Anti-Violence Commission it is considered that it is necessary to insist on the need to maintain social distancing as well as the use of masks to achieve, with everyone's effort, that there is no increase in the number of infections.
