Ansu, stronger after a year and a half of ordeal

Ansu Fati smiles again after a year and a half of ordeal with very few joys involved but always with a common denominator: goals. That boy who debuted at the age of 16 in August 2019 under the command of Ernest Valverde being the second-earliest scorer in LaLiga and the youngest in Champions He only asks for one thing since the meniscus in his left knee was torn on November 7, 2020 after a challenge from Betis Bath: continuity and leaving behind his ordeal of injuries and relapses. Four visits to the operating room preceded an eternal recovery that matured Ansu after having already enjoyed the sweet taste of the absolute Spanish team, with which he was also the youngest to see the door with 17 years and 311 days.

Now the scenario is different from that of his resounding comeback on September 26, ten and a half months after his serious knee injury. There is less rush for him to come back because there are more alternatives in attack. that team of Ronald Koeman needed him urgently and the young striker, who reappeared with a goal against Levante, immediately assumed responsibility for leading the attack. The Camp Nou, with his entire family in the front rows, exploded with the resounding return of a boy who radiated enthusiasm and to whom Barcelona fans clung to get out of the tunnel. It was a dream comeback the day he premiered the ’10’ that he inherited from Leo Messialready in Paris. So much pressure after such a long convalescence could have affected his immature musculature and on November 6 she was injured in Vigo in the femoral biceps of his left leg in a game in which he scored two goals when he was going to return to the national team. Three days before he had already signed the 0-1 in Kyiv that finally he could not have the prize of the pass to the second round when the team failed without him before the Benfica (0-0) and the Bayern (3-0).

He returned again with a goal on January 12 in the KO in the semifinal of the Spain Supercup before him Real Madrid (23). But a week later it relapsed into the extension of Bilbao in the cupbearer KO and left sunken in tears and wrapped in Xavi.

In 10 official matches this season, only two with Egarense, he has scored five goals: three in Leagueone in the Champions and one in the Super Cup. He now awaits a final stretch of the course to recover his smile on the pitch, win his first title with the Barça playing (the King’s Cup 2020-21 celebrated in the stands) and face the next campaign with many challenges, world included.
