Ansu Fati makes history

Ansu Fati made history against Ukraine: he became the youngest scorer in the history of the Spanish National Team. The Barcelona forward made the third for La Roja at 17 years and 311 days. The young international, who was playing his second game for Spain (made his debut against Germany on September 3) left a spectacular half hour at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. Before the goal, in minute 2, he broke the game with a great personal move in which he outwitted two rivals and was knocked down in the area. Ramos converted the penalty.

The goal is historic because Ansu Fati has managed to bring down a brand that had been in force for 95 years. The previous youngest scorer in the history of the National Team was Errazquin, who scored in 1925 at just 18 years of age. It took almost a century for someone to break that record.

Ansu started for Spain for the first time, having played the full second half in Stuttgart against Germany. In those 45 minutes he was one of the most outstanding of La Roja and they helped Luis Enrique to trust him against Ukraine at Di Stéfano.
