Another loss for the US Open: Kiki Bertens refuses to participate

The Dutch Kiki Bertens has been fully against traveling to New York to participate in the US Open from August 31 to September 13.

Bertens, who participates these days in a tournament in Berlin, was forceful when asked if he would participate in the great American. A laconic but forceful “No” was his answer.

Both Romanian Simona Halep and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina have previously made it known that they have little intention of traveling to New York, although it remains to be seen whether the decisions are firm or depend on the evolution of the health situation.
