The British Tennis Federation (LTA) will host four tournaments consecutively in July to alleviate the suspension of the professional circuit.
The championships will be played between the July 3 and 26 at the National Tennis Center in Roehampton, near where the Wimbledon Preview is played.
The events will be held behind closed doors and players such as Andy Murray and Johanna Konta participate.
Each of these tournaments will host 32 players, with 16-man and 16-woman draws, which will be open to the best federated players in the UK.
They will be played Friday to Sunday, including a doubles tournament with eight teams that will be organized in the format of “fast four”, with faster sets to four games and without advantages.
Two of the tournaments will have one £ 16,000 prize pool, in which the champion will win over £ 2,000. The rest of tournaments will have a smaller endowment.
further, the LTA will soon announce more tournaments for the month of August.
The LTA Executive President, Scott Lloyd noted that the LTA has been working “hard” to be able to support all players and clubs during these “difficult times”.
“I am delighted to announce that today is the next step in the return of professional tennis”, Lloyd added.
