Andújar may be Federer's first ground rival in 2021

This Friday the Geneva ATP 250 draw was held (May 17 to 23), the tournament that returns to the Swiss city 30 years later and in which Roger Federer will reappear to make his debut on land this course. The 35-year-old 76th in the world from Cuenca has never faced Federer and now has a nice opportunity to do so in the last stretch of his career. Roger will probably start Wednesday in the second round as he is the number one seed, and if he advances on his side of the table beyond Andújar or Thompson, by ranking Garín and Paire would wait for him before a hypothetical final against Shapovalov. Two other Spaniards play at the Gonet Geneva Open, Feliciano López and Fernando Verdasco, which will be released against rivals from the previous one. As the most prominent players aside from those already mentioned are Ruud, Dimitrov, Fognini and Mannarino.
