After a first set dominated by Andújar, in which the Canadian lost his service twice, the performance of Cuenca, number 92 in the ATP classification, feu diminishing little by little before the push of Shapovalov, number 13, who won the second set 6-3. In the third set, the second favorite passed over Andújar by winning 6-0 in just 28 minutes.

For his part, Ramos, 43 in the world rankings, lost the first serve he had available and it was already uphill throughout the match because Cilic, 35 of the ATP, did not miss his serve and placed up to 10 aces. After the elimination also of Pablo Martínez, only the fight remains between the Spanish Roberto Bautista, third seeded.
