Ander Herrera: “For 70 minutes we have been better”

The Spanish player of Paris Saint-Germain Ander Herrera regretted the elimination of his team in the semifinals of the Champions League against Manchester City, but noted that they were better for 70 minutes, while complaining about the referee's attitude.

“We have been better 70 minutes, we have had the ball, we can go with our heads high. We are sad, but we know that it is not easy to be a finalist one year and the next to be among the four best,” he said.

Herrera complained about the Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers, whom he reproached for disrespecting his teammate Leandro Paredes.

“At one point he said 'screw you up the ass' and we can't bear that,” he said.

The same was pointed out by the Italian Marco Verratti, who assured that he also received insults from the referee.

“We are disappointed, but I think that until the expulsion of (Di María) we were in the game. Against rivals like that it is difficult to control all the details,” said the transalpine.

Both he and Herrera assured that with an attitude like that of Kuipers he would have had a harsh sanction.
