The Everton by Carlo Ancelotti works. The Italian coach has long given the team its own identity through the Lucas Digne, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin and James Rodríguez. The latter did not play this Wednesday in the visit to Elland road, but it is not necessary that he Everton achieved their fourth consecutive road win, a fact that has never happened before in the history of the Premier League.
The 1-2 achieved against Leeds United by Marcelo Bielsa joins the identical result achieved in the visit to the Wolverhampton on January 12, the 0-1 achieved against the Sheffield United on December 26 and the 0-2 against the Leicester on the 16th of the same month. Altogether, a poker of triumphs that bears much of the blame for this Everton from Ancelotti has established itself in the positions of the fight to be in European competitions next year.
The last time he Everton played away from Goodison park and did not achieve the victory was on December 5 when he drew 1-1 in Burnley in a match in which, by the way, he made merits to have won.
Ancelotti and theirs have the challenge of continuing with this historic streak and the next commitment they have to extend it is this Saturday, when they visit the Manchester United. It does not seem simple, but neither is it impossible.
