Ancelotti: “Money is not the most important thing”

MADRID, 8 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has assured that they have “confidence” to face Saturday's game at the Benito Villamarín against Real Betis, a “solid and well-organized” team, and has indicated that “money is not what most important” and that is not what moves him to sign for a club.

“It is a difficult game because Betis is doing well, especially at home. They are a solid team, well organized. The objective is to get the best out of us, try to win and maintain the good dynamics of this moment. The game is going to be difficult, but we have the confidence to do it well,” he declared at a press conference.

In another vein, he responded with a laugh to the question of whether he would go to train in Saudi Arabia for 500 million, like the golfer Jon Rahm. “On foot. I don't need to book a flight, I'm walking. It's a joke, everyone chooses what they want. The world is changing, it has changed and it will change. I'm not surprised by anyone. The truth is that Jon Rahm is very good; no “I'm a golf expert, but I think he's the best of all,” he said.

“They haven't called me (from Arabia). I live in the present, and the present is very nice, at the moment. I have another idea, I have never thought about money. I grew up in a family in which money was not important. Now “I have money, but it is not the most important thing, for me it is feeling well. It may be that if I went to Arabia I would feel well, but now I feel well and I hope I can feel well for longer,” he continued.

On the other hand, the Italian coach explained that Kepa “has trained well.” “The good thing is that we have two trusted goalkeepers and tomorrow I am going to choose one of the two. There is competition, because Lunin has done very well, and tomorrow I will make a decision for tomorrow and for the next games,” he said, although he did not rule out rotations under suits.

“Lunin's games have been good and he deserves that I take into account that he can play. Nothing has changed with Kepa, we have total confidence in him. In the games in which Lunin has played he has shown character and personality. The good thing is Having both, one or the other playing, is not going to change anything. It may be that I rotate in goal in these games, we have four until Christmas,” he continued.

In addition, he stated that Englishman Jude Bellingham has recovered from his shoulder injury, although he has to be careful. “Bellingham has done individual work because he has to recover well from his ankle. The shoulder is a problem that he has to take care of by doing specific work to strengthen it. He has had no problems playing and with each passing day he will improve,” he indicated.

In this sense, he explained that “not now” an operation is necessary to correct his shoulder discomfort. “The shoulder is a particular joint, it could be that it pops out continuously and needs surgery. Now, this is ruled out because it feels good, getting better every day,” she added.

He also spoke about the condition of the Turkish Arda Güler. “Güler is in the final part of his recovery. He is working individually and next week he will start high-intensity work. I don't know if he will be ready for the last games of the year or for next year, but he is very close to reaching his full potential. “I talk to him every day,” he stressed.

Ancelotti analyzed the situation of all the injured. “Courtois and Militao are recovering very well; Tchouaméni and Arda -Güler- are close to training with us. With Vinícius and Camavinga I think we will have to wait until next year. When we return, they will both be ready to train with the team,” he stated.

Finally, the transalpine coach praised Isco, a Real Betis footballer and with whom he coincided at the white club. “Isco is playing very well, he has returned to his level. I am very happy, he is a player who has contributed something to football. He has gone through difficult moments and he has come out of it. Tomorrow he will be one of the players that we will have to control well,” he concluded.
