MADRID, 2 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, praised playmaker Brahim Díaz this Saturday, stating that he “does” his job “in any position” where the Italian coach puts him, all of this in reference to Madrid's 2-0 victory against Granada CF during matchday 15 of LaLiga EA Sports.
“He's playing very well and working hard. Whatever position I put him in, he delivers. I'm very happy with him, very satisfied. The truth is that he hasn't had much of a role at the beginning, but now he's showing all his qualities,” he said. Ancelotti at the press conference after the duel against Granada at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
At the beginning of that conference, the merengue coach clarified Dani Carvajal's physical discomfort. “I think it's an overload. We're going to evaluate it tomorrow, but it doesn't seem like anything very serious,” he said of the right back, who was replaced at half-time by Lucas Vázquez.
Furthermore, Ancelotti described that league clash against the Nasrid team as “a good match”, in his opinion “well controlled and well played”. “The team was focused, we avoided risks with very good defensive vigilance to avoid counterattacks and good ball handling,” he added.
He also highlighted the talented German midfielder Toni Kroos. “He is unique. He doesn't miss passes, that's the first thing. He always chooses the best solution, he is also a midfielder who likes and wants the ball, he is not afraid of pressure,” Ancelotti said in the Santiago Bernabéu press room. .
“He always orients himself very well because, what I think is his best part, in the orientation of the control he has he is always in a correct position when he receives the ball. He is also irreplaceable when he is not playing,” added the Madrid coach.
Likewise, he praised Rodrygo Goes. “He has returned to his best level, scoring many goals. Today I also refute those who think he only scores on the left. I put him more on the right in the second half because I thought he could have more space there, and he scored with a great combination between Joselu, Bellingham and Brahim,” he said.
“It doesn't matter if they score goals, the important thing is that the work is good collective work and at the moment we are doing very well. It is what I like most about the team, that there is a collective commitment that allows us to keep a clean sheet and defend well, and that the work of the forwards helps the rest of the team a lot,” argued Ancelotti.
Finally, the Italian coach got a little 'wet' when asked about his forecast for the Sunday duel between FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid. “I think it's going to be an entertaining match. That's what I think about most, enjoying a match between two great teams. And may the best team win,” he concluded in this regard.
