Ancelotti: “If we don’t play well, it won’t be because of the pitch”

The Real Madrid coach sees his squad “complete” and with weapons to “score goals” in the run-up to the Clásico

MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, was focused on working on a good pre-season even though there will be a long course ahead in which they will have to have “attitude and commitment” every day, at the gates of a Clásico against FC Barcelona in Dallas where the state of the turf will not be an excuse.

“We have done good things, they are to fine-tune the machine. We are doing well and we want to continue. Real Madrid will try to play a better game, taking into account that it is preseason. It is an important game due to the difficulty of the rival. The result It is the least important thing and the most important thing is to continue progressing in a test that is going to be very demanding,” he said at a press conference.

The white coach spoke to the media before the match at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas this Saturday, which has been talked about due to a pitch that is not entirely good for the Clásico show, a theme that is always present especially in the culé coach, Xavi Hernandez. “The stadium is fantastic, a fantastic atmosphere, good weather with the heat outside, but you can play a good game. If we don’t play well, it won’t be because of the pitch,” said the Italian.

On the other hand, Ancelotti once again highlighted the quality and importance of Jude Bellingham in his new scheme. “He not only has technical quality, he also has the strength to move quickly and finish. He is a very complete midfielder, he is adapting very well, his teammates are helping him a lot,” he pointed out about the Englishman.

“Now it is too soon to make an assessment. We are doing well. In addition to the good things you can do in a preseason, then there is a season where you have to put commitment and attitude in each game,” he added, dodging again questions about the French PSG player Kylian Mbappé.

The Madrid coach, who did not see a Champions League final in the United States as bad, insisted that his squad is “complete” and does not need more forwards. “Yes, that’s enough. We’re complete. Up front they’re doing very well. Brahim and Joselu have shown they can contribute. The team has weapons in front of them to have the opportunity to score goals,” he said.

In addition, the Italian explained that for the Clásico he will only have Arda Güler out and the rest will all play, before being asked about different options in midfield, where Tchouameni is becoming strong and where Bellingham can also play inside when play with a 4-3-3.

Lastly, Ancelotti turned the page on Benzema again, thanking him for his services but remembering that Madrid “continues”, while appreciating the strength of leagues such as the Saudi and MLS with Messi. “European football is more competitive but everything can be matched in the future with these leagues”, he finished.
