MADRID, 15 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Spanish athlete Ana Peleteiro, current European triple jump champion, announced this Sunday that Iván Pedroso is no longer her coach after eight years of working together, and has indicated that now it is time to “bet on another project” and look for “new motivations, learning and continue growing professionally.”
The Spanish record holder announced the news on her Instagram account, where she shared 14 photos of the two of them over the past eight years. “There are times in life that are enjoyed 100%, that are accompanied by learning, experiences, successes and defeats, but above all they are accompanied by people who mark a before and after and these last 8 years have been one of those times,” the text began.
Peleteiro expressed her gratitude for the years of working together that she describes as “the most incredible and surreal” of her entire life. “Today is a day that I am very excited about because I am closing a chapter and I would like to pay tribute to the person who has accompanied me the most on this path. I am taking with me a friend for life and thousands of lessons that I will continue to put into practice until the last of my days,” she said.
“Now it’s time to invest in another project, to look for new motivations, new learnings and to continue growing professionally, but from another place. You are and will always be my family,” concludes the statement from the Galician athlete.
