An exhibition covers the 90 years of the history of Granada

Granada inaugurated this Friday an exhibition with representative objects of the club's history, which is one of the central events scheduled this year on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the rojiblanca entity.

The exhibition, which will remain open until June 5 in the central Sala Zaida in the capital, includes significant pieces of the entity that are owned by Granada itself and others from private collections of rojiblancos subscribers.

Among the more than one hundred objects in the exhibition are the original statutes of the club's constitution in 1931, the founding act, the Andalusian Sports Medal, balls, gloves and shin guards from the 30s, t-shirts from different stages, historical stickers or a recreation of the costumes of the old Los Cármenes.

The counselor of Granada, Patricia Rodríguez, thanked Caja Rural de Granada for the support provided so that this exhibition can be held and stressed that “history must always be present to grow in a sustainable way”, recognizing that the entity's objective is “keep growing”.

“There are many historical objectives here, but the most important thing is in the street and they are all the people who we hope will come to see the exhibition. Hopefully it will be the turning point to have them closer to us because we have missed them a lot in these last months, “added Rodríguez.

The president of Caja Rural Granada, Antonio León, stressed that it is a “magnificent exhibition that summarizes the history of Granada” although he clarified that “the best of the club's history is currently being experienced.”

At the opening of the exhibition, which is one of the main events planned for this year on the occasion of the club's 90th anniversary, the Granada coach, Diego Martínez, and the councilor of the entity Pepe Macanás were present, among others.
