MADRID, 14 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Amiab Albacete was proclaimed champion of the Division of Honor Wheelchair Basketball League this Saturday, after beating Amivel on the last day of the championship (53-68).
The team from La Mancha, led by Esther Jiménez, reached the last day as leaders and depending on themselves and in the decisive match they did not fail with the outstanding performance of the British Kyle Marsh, who registered 21 points.
A week ago, Amiab Albacete beat Ilunion and won their first European Champions Cup. Now, the team from La Mancha lifts the second title of the season with the first league title in its history.
Second classified was Mideba Extremadura, which, tied on points with Amiab, needed to beat Iberconsa, something it achieved (62-76), and wait for Amiab to stumble, who replaced Bidaideak Bilbao in the record.
