The madridistas Teresa Abelleira and Claudia Zornoza, the Real Sociedad soccer players Amaiur Sarriegi and Nerea Eizagirre and the Athletic Club player Ainhoa Vicente Moraza have been the players ruled out by the Spanish coach, Jorge Vilda, to play the European Championship in England, which will be held from July 6 to 31.
The big surprise among those included in the definitive list of 23 footballers for the continental event is Villarreal striker Salma Paralluelo, European and World Under-17 champion but who has not yet debuted with the senior team.
Among the absences, the ‘txuri urdin’ Amaiur Sarriegi and Nerea Eizagirre stand out, the key attacking duo for Real Sociedad to achieve the First Iberdrola runner-up this season; their 16 and 17 goals, respectively, allowed Natalia Arroyo’s women to secure their ticket to Europe.
The madridistas Claudia Zornoza, who had no longer entered the pre-list of 28 and who only attended the call after Jenni Hermoso’s injury, and Tere Abelleira, as well as Athletic defender Ainhoa Vicente Moraza, also fall off the list.

The European Championship debut will take place on Friday 8 July against Finland at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes.
