Amad Diallo rescues United against bottom club Southampton

MADRID 16 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester United came back (3-1) against Southampton this Thursday on matchday 21 of the Premier thanks to three goals in just over ten minutes from Amad Diallo, a happy ending against the bottom team thanks to their young star to win a title again month later.

Diallo was once again the hero of the ‘red devils’, leader at 22 years of age of a giant that is still far from its glorious years, although it has at least the good news of African talent. After three consecutive defeats at home, Old Trafford saw its team suffer again, rightly trailing just before half-time.

The 0-1 was Manuel Ugarte’s own goal, but Southampton had deserved it before. With the resumption, a more incisive United returned, with attitude and intention to avoid a disaster against the worst team in the league. Antony had the clearest choice, but it had to be Diallo who came to the rescue, like at Anfield ten days ago or in the derby at the Etihad Stadium a month ago.

The young striker scored a hat-trick in the last ten minutes of the game to keep up with United and an Amorim with little credit despite being a newcomer. Those from Manchester returned to the path of victory, still in no man’s land in the standings, and confirmed that they have a diamond in the rough.

In the other Premier match this Thursday, Brighton beat Ipswich (0-2) in relegation positions to end a streak of eight days without winning. Those from the south of England took the three points, to keep the European zone still close, with goals from Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter.
