Álvaro Martín, European champion in the 20 km walk and García Carrera gets the bronze

MADRID, 20 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Álvaro Martín was proclaimed champion of Europe this Saturday in Munich (Germany) in the final of the 20 km walk, ahead of the Swedish Perseus Karlstrom and the Spanish Diego García Carrera, who closes the podium with a bronze.

Martín made a final time of 1:19:11 and together with Diego García Carrera, extended the harvest of medals for the Spanish delegation. A test that confirmed Spain’s place among the marching elite with fourth place for Alberto Amezcua, 14 seconds from the bronze.
