The Moroccan team’s move to the World Cup semifinals in Qatar after defeating Portugal (1-0) led the audiences on Saturday by bringing together an average of almost 3.7 million viewers (3,675,000) and a 32% share.
The match was watched by 7,143,000 viewers at some point during its broadcast. In addition, a total of 3,963,000 spectators (34.4%) watched the post-match, the most watched on Saturday. The ‘golden minute’ of the day came after the match, at 5:56 p.m. with 4,821,000 viewers (40.5%).
The meeting made La 1 leader on Saturday (14.5%) and the after-dinner slots (19.1%) and afternoon (20.8%). La 1 and RTVE Play will offer the two semifinals next week: Argentina-Croatia on Tuesday 13 and France-Morocco on Wednesday 14 December, both at 8:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time.
