MADRID, 16 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
UD Almería closed this Wednesday the signings of the Portuguese goalkeeper Luis Maximiano, on loan for one year, and the Malian striker Ibrahima Koné, in his case for the next five seasons, reinforcing two areas of the field in which the Andalusian team was weak.
The goalkeeper, 24 years old and 1.90 meters tall, comes to the Almería team from SS Lazio, where he ended up after standing out at Granada CF. Despite his youth, Maximiano knows what it’s like to play in Europe, both in his last team and in his training club, Sporting Lisbon. Almería has a purchase option at the end of the season, according to what he has indicated in a press release.
The other addition is that of ‘9’ Ibrahima Koné, also 24 years old and from FC Lorient, a team in which he played 53 top flight games. Before his career in Ligue 1, Koné went through Norwegian and Turkish football, and now an opportunity has arisen for him to move up the ladder of European Leagues.
The Malian is a physical power striker, supported by his height of 1.90 meters and his corpulence. However, these characteristics do not prevent him from having a good game with his feet. He is an attacker who has a lot to contribute to the Indálico team, after the departure of El Bilal Touré.
The arrivals of Maximiano and Koné place the number of discharges at eight; together with the change of coach, that means that Almería is in full reconstruction and still needs to establish itself. It could already be appreciated during the defeat against Rayo Vallecano (0-2) on matchday 1 of LaLiga EA Sports.
