To end the week, ‘El Hormiguero 3.0’ has received on its set the best soccer player in the world and captain of Futbol Club Barcelona, Alexia Putellas. The Ballon d’Or winner visits the home of ‘Trancas y Barrancas’ for the first time.
During the short interview that Pablo Motos has done with the Catalan soccer player, Putellas has made reference to her beginnings: “From a very young age, when I was four years old, I was already with the ball in the square, in the park, at school… . I was growing up and I saw that in this life I had to be a footballer“.

Putellas is very hard on football, as she recognized that “It is a very selfish profession“. The Catalan was justified: “You do everything to perform better: you eat well, rest a lot, try not to do things that could injure you. You bring all the focus to that“.
The Barcelona midfielder is aware of how lucky she is with her family and friends: “My environment perfectly understands what my profession entails and, therefore, i can enjoy this way“. Her mother and her sister have accompanied Alexia on the set of ‘El Hormiguero 3.0’.

“For many girls you are now a great reference in soccer, but what references did you have when you were your little one?” Pablo Motos was interested. Alexia sighed and replied: “I had no female references as a child. She had Rivaldo, Xavi, Iniesta, Leo Messi…“.

Alexia recognized that this is already changing, but there is still a long way to go. She started playing in front of 300-400 people and just recently they filled the Camp Nou with more than 91,500 people. Definitely, progress is becoming more and more real.
