Alexia Putellas: “Feeling so many people close makes this digest a little better”

MADRID, 7 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The forward of FC Barcelona Alexia Putellas has assured that she is “well” and recovering “tomorrow and afternoon” from the serious knee injury that separated her from the European Championship in England and that she will be out for nearly a year, and has acknowledged that feeling “so many people close” made him accept everything “a little better”.

“I’m fine within what fits in this situation. I’m fine, recovering tomorrow and afternoon,” he said in statements to the official media of the Barça club. “There will be processes that I will have to overcome, they are things that fortunately until now I had not experienced and little by little, supporting the team, which is what is important,” he added.

The midfielder suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee in one of the training sessions with the Spanish team prior to the start of the Women’s Euro Cup and will be out for between 10 and 12 months.

“I want to thank that since this happened to me I have felt very supported, with many expressions of gratitude… I don’t have time to answer everyone, but I take the opportunity to say thank you. They have been hard times and feeling so many people close has made this digest a little better,” he stressed.

In addition, the Catalan showed her total confidence in her teammates for the new league season. “Confidence in the team is maximum, as is the case with all the fans and the whole world. It is a new season and we must go for everything,” she concluded.
