Alexia Putellas: “Every day of suffering that I have spent has been worth it”

MADRID, 3 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Barça forward Alexia Putellas was emotional when taking stock of a season of “suffering” to return to the fields after a long knee injury, with the icing on the cake of the Champions League this Saturday against Wolfsburg, which makes everything go “worth it”

“Goal accomplished, this year we had in mind that we had to win it, because of how last year ended. We are very happy, now it’s time to celebrate. I’m happy. It’s been a hard year. Every day of suffering that I’ve gone through, both me and my family, it’s worth it just for this moment,” he said in statements to Dazn, collected by Europa Press.

Putellas entered at the last minute to raise the second ‘Champions’ of the culé team, which came with maximum tension when it was 0-2 in the first half. “I have suffered like all the culés. In the first part we have not been completely good, yesterday I said that the ones we had we had to put in and today they did not go in, but then in the second part I think the team has reacted super well and we we took her to Barcelona”, he stated.

“I want to celebrate, not sleep tonight. I am happy for the whole team, for all the fans, for all the work that the club has done, for all the people who have also previously passed through this project that in the end all of us who went through We try to do our bit so that this can be achieved”, added the two-time Ballon d’Or winner.
