MADRID, 24 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Point guard Alex Renfroe is a new player for Coviran Granada, where he will continue his adventure in the Endesa League at the age of 36, to bring experience and scoring to one of the recently promoted teams, becoming the eleventh player on the Granada team.
Alex Renfroe disembarks in Granada from San Pablo Burgos, where he had played the last two seasons and with whom he has won the Basketball Champions League. The American with a Bosnian passport averaged 8.6 points and 4.6 assists with the Burgos team last year.
The coach of Coviran Granada, Pablo Pin, positively valued the signing from abroad, who comes with “important experience and career.” “I think Alex Renfroe is a player who will fit very well into our style of play, since he plays direct blocking situations very well. His knowledge will come in handy, we are very happy with his arrival,” he told club media.
The point guard is the last piece of the outside game for Pablo Pin’s team, and he will continue a long career in the Endesa League, where he has already defended the shirts of Valladolid, Baskonia, FC Barcelona, Baxi Manresa and San Pablo Burgos. In total, he has 128 games in which he has been on court for an average of 24 minutes. Furthermore, he has also played in Latvia, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Serbia and Puerto Rico.
For its first season in ACB, Coviran Granada already has eleven members: Lluís Costa, Christian Díaz, Dejan Todorovic, Pere Tomàs, Thomas Bropleh, Jacobo Díaz, Ramón Vilà, Petit Niang, Luke Maye, David Iriarte and the recently signed Alex Renfroe.
