Álex Remiro: “No friend wanted to be a goalkeeper, I got for being the tallest”

“I’ve always noticed Ter Stegen, the national team is a prize and why not be there one day,” Real’s goalkeeper told the fashion brand Kaotiko

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Sociedad goalkeeper Álex Remiro, one of the fashionable goals of Spanish football, revealed that he plays in that position because he was the “tallest” of his friends, that his references are Ter Stegen and De Gea and that, despite not being called up for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, he hopes to be an international with ‘la Roja’ one day.

“None of my friends wanted to be a goalkeeper and it was my turn for being the tallest. My best friend always hesitates because I took his gloves off and I still haven’t given them back,” he said in an interview for the fashion brand Kaotiko. for which she has debuted as a model in a photo shoot.

In his opinion, in modern football a goalkeeper has to master the game with his feet, “know how to play forward” to help his defense both in aerial balls and in transitions “and he has to have a lot of personality to take risks at key moments of the party”.

Remiro pointed out that being summoned by Spain “is a prize” and stressed that the internationals who have traveled to Qatar “are a great team”. “The goalkeepers who go are very good, an example for all of us to look at. Why not one day be like them and be there”, he asked himself.

A lover of family, friends and their dogs, the Real goalkeeper likes to eat well, live near the sea and one of his favorite songs is ‘Copacabana’, by the group Izal. In the goal, his references are the goalkeepers of FC Barcelona Marc André Ter Stegen and David de Gea of Manchester United, and in fashion he does not have them fixed, but he did highlight the style of the blaugrana Héctor Bellerín “for his roll and his personality “, and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.

“Throughout my life I’ve played many styles, but I think that now I’m going to stick with sweatshirts and baggy jeans, warm colors and winter clothes with which I feel comfortable. I always try to play with bright colors so that my mother, who has a vision problem, manage to locate me better”, he joked.

He is attracted to the Kaotiko firm by the “change” and “progression” it has had, the fact that it is a national product and the quality of its garments. “I feel identified with his personality and when I dress in Kaotiko I am very comfortable, in my comfort zone. I also like that they have the unisex line because I consider that fashion has no gender”, he highlighted.
