MADRID, 28 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish Santi Aldama, Juancho Hernangómez and Usman Garuba did not have their best night in the NBA on Tuesday, since in addition to their performances with little contribution, none of them could enjoy the victory with their respective teams.
The power forward from Gran Canaria barely shone in the defeat of the Memphis Grizzlies against one of their direct rivals in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns, who took the victory at the FedEx Forum comfortably 108-125.
Aldama, in almost 15 minutes, did not sign a great match and stayed at three points thanks to the only triple he tried and which was also his only shot on a statistical sheet that did not reflect anything else. Ja Morant was the best of the locals with 34 points, but with bad percentages and not enough against a rival where eight players surpassed double digits in scoring, with special mention for substitute Duane Washington (26).
For his part, Juancho Hernangómez from Madrid could not help the Toronto Raptors too much to avoid a 113-124 home defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers despite another great match by Pascal Siakam (36 points and 9 rebounds).
The Spanish forward was a starter with the Canadian franchise, but he was barely eight minutes on the court, in which he missed his four triples and where he could not score any points, limiting himself to one rebound and one assist.
Finally, Usman Garuba did not stand out either in a new loss for the Houston Rockets against one of the powerful teams in the Eastern Conference such as the Boston Celtis, who clearly prevailed 126-102 thanks to the enormous game of Jaylen Brown (39 points) and Jayson Tatum (38 and 8 rebounds).
For his part, the power forward from Azuqueca de Henares could barely shine on a difficult night and in his more than 13 minutes on the court he only scored one basket and grabbed three rebounds for a franchise where Jalen Green (28) and Kevin Porter Jr. stood out. (22 and 9 assists).
