MADRID, 14 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Eibar, leader of LaLiga SmartBank, fell this Friday during their visit to Albacete (3-1) on the thirty-sixth day of competition, a result that confirms the fourth game in a row without winning for Gaizka Garitano’s men and that puts the team in manchego in promotion ‘Playoff’ positions.
Rubén Albés’ men materialized their superiority at the Carlos Belmonte after 19 minutes, when Higinio caught a loose ball in the area to slip it into the back of the visitor’s net with a right foot.
Before the break, Juanma García picked up a rebound from the Armera defense after a local free kick and scored the second in the Manchegos’ account (min.38). He himself, after the break, was in charge of extending the income after taking advantage of a center from Carlos Isaac (min.60).
Just four minutes later, Venancio shot from outside the area and Quique González touched just enough to divert the trajectory, mislead goalkeeper Altube and close the gap for the Basque team.
Despite their fourth consecutive setback -after three draws-, Eibar remains at the top of the Second Division with 65 points, three more than UD Las Palmas. Albacete, for its part, reaches 55 units and rises to sixth place, displacing Cartagena from the promotion positions.
