Albacete, Racing, Andorra and Villarreal B join LaLiga Impulso

The four clubs signed the LaLiga agreement with the CVC fund

MADRID, 8 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The clubs promoted this season to LaLiga SmartBank –Albacete, Racing Club and Andorra, in addition to Villarreal B– have adhered to the agreement that LaLiga has with the CVC investment fund after an “in-depth study” of the economic conditions.

“After an in-depth study of the conditions of the agreement, they have decided this Monday to join the LaLiga Impulso project, the alliance between the employers’ association and the CVC fund, which will allow these clubs to access an economic injection that will accelerate their professionalization and development”, LaLiga said in a statement.

As stated in the agreement, from CVC’s investment in LaLiga Impulso, an item is allocated to promoted clubs that gives them access to 34 percent of the funds — they receive 34 percent of the total in August 2022, 16 percent in June 2023 and two items of 25 percent in June 2024 and 2025–.

To receive this injection of capital, the clubs must send their investment plans and the corresponding documentation that guarantees that the planned investments meet the conditions established in LaLiga Impulso.

For the president of the Real Racing Club, Alfredo Pérez, LaLiga Impulso is a tool that allows clubs to “modernize their infrastructures and raise their digital level”, with the aim of gaining more loyalty from their fans and reaching new audiences. “The assessment, therefore, is very positive,” he assured.

The vice president and CEO of Albacete BP, Víctor Varela, said that LaLiga Impulso allows them to improve the experience of their fans, as well as the progressive digitization of the entity and the creation and development of platforms and services that help Albacete to grow in a “sustainable”.

For his part, the president of FC Andorra, Ferran Vilaseca, valued that the agreement will help them in their ambition to create the “necessary ecosystem to stabilize the club sportingly and structurally, especially with the creation of new infrastructures”. “FC Andorra is looking forward to its entry into professional football and LaLiga Impulso will be an essential help in developing the club and adapting it to the next level,” he added.

For Fernando Roig, president of Villarreal CF, already a member of LaLiga Impulso with the first team, this help for the subsidiary will help them to be “bigger”. “It will help our youngest footballers to compete in this category, it is always positive because of the club idea we have. We look to the future with even greater optimism with LaLiga Impulso,” he said.

“LaLiga Impulso provides that the funds received by the clubs have a finalist nature and the signing clubs undertake to invest, allocating a maximum of 15% to player registration, another 15% to debt reduction and 70% to infrastructure improvement and development of the clubs in the field of international development, brand and product, innovation and technology and digitization and social networks”, recalled LaLiga.

With their entry there are already 40 clubs and two subsidiaries that make up LaLiga Impulso, since the 3 clubs and the relegated subsidiary remain within the agreement.
