Alba works out with the group and De Jong is already on top

Quique Setién worked this Wednesday with a total of 20 footballers -16 from the first team and four from the subsidiary (Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, Ronald Araujo and Arnau Tenas), where the return of Jordi Alba stood out after being absent in the session on Tuesday. The left back, who stayed yesterday at the gym to do recovery work, exercised without problems today, so his presence in the face of the call against Osasuna is not in danger.

Three new faces are expected to be on Setien's list. Obviously the most anticipated is that of Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who will be discharged and will return to a list practically a month after he was injured in the soleus of the right leg. The former Ajax player has missed a total of seven games. The other two novelties will be Arthur, once recovered from his tonsillitis that left him out against Valladolid, and Ansu Fati, after completing the sanction match for his expulsion in the derby.

The only two absences in the session were Samuel Umtiti and Antoine Griezmann, both injured and who have already said goodbye to their participation in LaLiga., as well as Ousmane Dembélé, who continues with his recovery process from a serious injury to the tendon of the biceps femoris.

In the morning session on Wednesday, a very active and especially motivated Quique Setién could be seen, participating in the rondo and having a great time in the center. It had been a long time since the Cantabrian coach was seen playing with his pupils on the rounds.

By the way, when making the eleven, Setién will have to take into account that he has seven players warned of sanction, so if they see a yellow one they will have said goodbye to their participation in LaLiga. The affected players are: Messi, Suárez, Piqué, Rakitic, Arturo Vidal, Junior and Braithwaite. The case of the Danish would be the most relevant case, since it would put an end to his participation this season, since he was not registered for the Champions League.
