Alavés obtains the loan of Deyverson from Palmeiras

Deportivo Alavés has a new member in its ranks. Deyverson Brum Silva Acosta. The Brazilian, who arrives at Deportivo Alavés from Sociedad Esportiva Palmeiras, will play on loan for one season. Last year he was in Getafe but, having to pay a high amount so that the campaign could end, the azulones did not make this option effective and Deyverson returned to Brazil, where he was removed from the daily dynamics of the team.

Deyverson (Rio de Janeiro, 05/08/1991), was trained in the lower categories of Grêmio Mangaratibense. In 2012 he made the leap to Europe and joined the ranks of the Portuguese Benfica where he made his debut in the Portuguese league. After passing through the Aguilas team, the Brazilian was transferred to the Portuguese squad of Os Belenenses. Two years later, in 2015, he ended up on loan, in the German Bundesliga where he was part of FC Köln. Later he signed with Levante UD to, in 2017, reach Vitoria-Gasteiz on loan.

After his stint at Deportivo Alavés, Deyverson signed for Palmeiras until last season, when he played on loan for Getafe CF. In Vitoria he came to play the final of the Copa del Rey in 2017 against Barcelona (3-1 at Vicente Calderón) but no agreement was reached for him to continue in the albiazul team due to the high amount to close the operation. From a sporting point of view, Alavés liked to continue counting on his services. He was an intense and hard-working striker, always annoying for the opposing defenses. He also had a good connection with the stands, although now there are no fans in the stadiums. He lived on Calle San Antonio (downtown) and was always accompanied by his brother or some close friends. He empathized a lot with the people of Vitoria.

In his stage as a slime fox, Deyverson played 37 games with the elastic albiazul, starting 32 of them: 32 games played in LaLiga Santander, starting in 29, and 5 games played in the Copa del Rey, starting in 3 of them. He harvested 7 goals. Deyverson's return is good news and confirms the intention of the club's Sports Directorate to bet on players who were in Vitoria in their day: Jony (Lazio) or Pedraza (Betis) are some other examples right now.
