The Atletico Madrid Women has the honor of counting in its ranks with what may be the best African player of the last year. Rasheedat Ajibade has been included in the list of candidates for the award for Best Player of the Year at the CAF Awards 2022an award that recognizes the best player on the African continent during the year.
At the moment, the forward of the rojiblanco team has entered the list of 30 players who today are the candidates for this recognition. Quite an award for a 22-year-old player who has scored 10 goals this season.
The Nigerian arrived in January 2021 at the club from Avaldsnes IL of Norway. A year later he signed his contract extension until 2025, becoming one of the future stars of the rojiblanco team for the coming seasons.
Before arriving at the rojiblanco team, he had already played with Nigeria. He is now untouchable in the selection of his country. That is why he is disputing the Africa Cup in which he already scored a goal in the opening match.
