Aitana: “I want to keep winning everything and take Barça to the top”

BARCELONA, 16 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Barça Femení player Aitana Bonmatí has confirmed that she is renewing her contract with the ‘culer’ team until 2028 to continue aspiring to win all possible titles and to take the shield of the club she has been a fan of since she was a child to the top of women’s football, with her currently being the current Ballon d’Or winner.

Speaking to the club’s media after renewing his contract, he said that his desire to succeed remains intact. “My ambition is always maximum, as is the team’s, we want to continue winning everything and take this badge to the top of the world for many years to come,” he said.

“I am a very ambitious person, my character always wants more, I am not satisfied with anything and I believe that we still have a team to fight for everything. I know that the club will make a strong commitment and will continue to do so so that we can compete for everything for many years,” he reiterated.

For this reason, she said she was “very happy” to be able to remain linked to the club until 2028. “This season I start my 13th season and if I finish the contract it will be 16 years. What more can a ‘culer’ ask for since she was very young, who has had this deep feeling and wants to continue making history with this club,” she said sincerely.

“It was a priority to continue here, to continue at home. And I would like to thank the president, the Board of Directors and all the people who have helped make it possible for me to continue here. It has been a negotiation like any other, with better and worse moments, but I think we have handled it very well, I think we have understood each other very well and that is what makes me happiest, to continue here at home,” added the player from Sant Pere de Ribes.

He is also “very excited” to be able to play again at the Blaugrana home ground, in a new Spotify Camp Nou that will be inaugurated, with partial capacity, at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2025. “We experienced great nights in the past and I hope to experience them in the future,” he commented on this long-awaited return, for big events, to the new stadium.
