It was a great night this Saturday for the entire Spanish women’s team, which, with a victory against Denmark (0-1), qualified for the quarterfinals of the European Championship. And in a special way for the Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí, who achieved her second MVP in the tournament, being chosen as the best player in this Denmark-Spain match.
Aitana Bonmatí was already chosen MVP in La Roja’s debut in the tournament, against Finland, in a match in which the team led by Jorge Vilda was forced to come back from Linda Sallstrom’s initial goal and in which the player from Sant Pere de Ribes scored the second goal for Spain. The others, by Irene Paredes, Lucía García and Marona Caldentey (this one, from a penalty).
